The Eight Week Ignatian Retreat Exercises are one way to offer a time of spiritual awareness, a renewed encounter with the person of Jesus Christ, and an invitation to the practice of prayer in everyday life. John Scarano and Pat Ludick, both affiliated with the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University, will be offering this opportunity at the parish during the Lenten season.
The Eight Week Retreat follows a carefully formulated sequence of prayer, complete with scriptural resources and guidelines for a variety of methods of practicing contemplative prayer. “Finding God in All Things” is indeed a maxim of Ignatian Spirituality and so opens the possibility that one might live daily in the presence of God. The sessions are only one hour in length and set the stage for individualized practice done at home. It is a commitment to continued engagement throughout the weeks of Lent through Easter. Tuesday evenings: February 6 through April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hospitality Room.
Advanced registration is helpful as we plan for materials. Contact the Parish Office 440-729-9575 or pick up a brochure and leave your information at the Information Desk in the baptistery.
