“Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society and the world. Through Confirmation, our personal relationship with Christ is strengthened. We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service.”
The United States Catholic Catechism for Adults p. 207
We celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation each year at Saint Anselm, usually during Lent or the Easter Season. The preparation program begins in the fall for those in eighth grade (or older). Registration is required. Please contact Mel Joyce for more information: (440) 729-9575, [email protected].
Adults, who are trained in the faith but have not yet been confirmed, need only attend a short preparation program. Call the parish office, (440) 729-9575, for dates of adult confirmation preparation sessions.
